The work Gemeente Geenwijk consists of a manifest accompanied by a video-work, a website, and a postcard.

In many cities, gentrification is a re-occurring phenomenon. Some talk about it as a solution, some see it as a problem. The fact is, that when it comes to the moment when the inhabitants of a neighborhood are forced to move, they do not feel represented by the policies made. The city council doesn’t take their interest into account.

The manifest is about the question: ‘Of whom is the city? Who does it belong to?’
